The Lady….

“The Lady of Shalott” ~John William Waterhouse ©1888

I’ve always loved these paintings from Pre-Raphaelite painter, John William Waterhouse (1849-1917).  I find his paintings beautiful and romantic. The painting above was inspired by Alfred Lord Tennyson’s (1809–1892), poem of the same name.

But Lancelot mused a little space
He said, “She has a lovely face;
God in his mercy lend her grace,
The Lady of Shalott”
