Appreciating Art Deco as I do, I have always loved the artwork of Tamara De Lempicka. Her paintings were always bold, often times erotic and her subjects were imbued with an innate power and sensuality. If I could chose some original art, (money being no object of course) something of hers would be on my wall where I could admire it daily.
It seems Tamara led quite an exotic and interesting life herself—from a jazz age bohemian artist to baroness. If you’re interested in learning more about her, you can check out Laura Claridge’s biography: “Tamara De Lempicka: A Life of Deco & Decadence”.
